Andy Martin was born one dark night in 1977, not breathing and officially stillborn. He took this as a sign that this was not a good idea. Overcoming the initial setback of death, Andy struggled through his early life. Growing up on the mean streets of North Vancouver, BC, his only friends were a dog-eared copy of George Orwell's '1984' and an anthropomorphic radish named 'Jim'.

At the age of 18, Andy met a convivial young man who offered him a leg up in the world. He took advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity and shortly thereafter dumped the sucker's cold body into the Fraser River and assumed his identity, which included a humble apartment, enrollment in the B.S. program at the University of B.C. and a rampant case of alcoholism.

His scholastic career was active, and is remembered mostly by a re-enactment of Do-Long Bridge in the cafeteria, which the Vancouver fire department and judicial system hailed as 'a dangerous and senseless disregard for life', and getting a B in Math 101. Leasing his soul to the devil, he completing his B.S. in 1999.

Finding his riches dwindling and the world dominantion industry in economic decline, Andy took to finding his fortune on the high sea. Finding only cold water and rotting fish, yet no treasure, he reassessed his situation and made a fresh start by moving to the Bronx in 2001 to continue his career in conservation.

Shortly after arriving in New York, he joined Pale Horse. Andy is also known in sub-popular culture for starring in the video for 'Hello Timebomb' by the Matt Good Band, writings in 'the 432',and a cameo in the comic Sluggy Freelance.
